Port Vale vs Notts County preview - Same again for Vale

Port Vale should have an unchanged squad for the visit of Notts County.

Following the superb 3-1 win at Doncaster last weekend, manager Micky Adams named the same starting line-up for the trip to Oldham. After a 1-1 draw at Boundary Park, where Adams' side were under the cosh for long spells, the Vale boss must decide whether it is time for changes.

Colin Daniel is fit again after an ankle injury and came on as a substitute against Latics. The likes of Adam Yates, Chris Robertson, Louis Dodds, Michael Brown and Steven Jennings are also options for Adams.

Meanwhile, summer signing Byron Moore is also getting close to a call-up to the squad having missed pre-season on compassionate grounds following the death of his brother Louis.

Notts will be without defender Cieron Keane and midfielder Nicky Wroe through suspension.

Both players were sent off against Colchester in midweek as the Magpies recorded their first victory of the campaign.

Shaun Harrad will go straight into the squad after rejoining the club this week, while fellow striker Danny Haynes is back in training after an ankle injury and could be involved for the first time this season.

Garry Thompson (knee) is likely to remain on the sidelines while Blair Adams, Kyle Dixon and Alan Smith are also injury doubts after missing out against the U's on Tuesday night.
