Livingston celebrated the lifting of their transfer embargo in midweek with a win as they edged a narrow game against Cowdenbeath 2-1.

After a first half of few chances it took just 27 seconds for the home side to take the lead after the break. Daniel Mullen received the ball in the centre of the penalty area before calmly placing the ball into the top corner out of the reach of keeper Thomas Flynn.

Livingston doubled their lead half an hour later when Keaghan Jacobs played the ball into Jordan White whose right footed effort found the back of the net.

Lewis Milne gave Cowdenbeath fans hope with five added minutes to play. Substitute Craig Sutherland cut in from the left hand side to set up Milne for an easy finish to make it two in two for the midfielder.

However Livingston were not to be denied their first win of the season.
