Portland Timbers head coach Caleb Porter got the chance to coach the MLS All-Star team last week during their 2-1 win over Bundesliga power Bayern Munich, coached by Pep Guardiola, who Porter considers an idol of his.
Following the match, Guardiola refused to take part in the hand shake line because he felt the MLS team was tackling too hard for an exhibition match.
On Monday, Porter took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, in which a participant dumps a bucket of ice water over their head then challenges other people to do so, thus spreading the good word of the ALS Foundation.
Who did Porter challenge?
Guardiola, of course.
He also challenged U.S. National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, U.S. women's soccer star Alex Morgan, and sports columnist John Canzano. B.
