Liverpool still looking to do more business, admits Rodgers, as Eto’o linked with shock switch

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has completed seven signings this summer, but he insists he is not finished in the transfer market just yet.

The Reds have landed defenders Javier Manquillo and Dejan Lovren, midfielders Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic and Emre Can and forwards Rickie Lambert and Divock Origi in the close season.

According to reports in Tuesday’s newspapers, former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o is set to be the next addition, and Rodgers admits he is keen to bolster his squad further.

"We would still like to do some business,” said the Northern Irishman, ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League opener against Southampton at Anfield on Sunday.

"Across the board we still want to add a little bit more depth to what we have."
