Carlo Ancelotti held a press conference at the Michigan Stadium where he revealed that Iker Casillas will start in the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla. However, he has not written off Diego López, even if the club has already said he is not staying at the Bernabéu.

On the goalkeeping controversy, he stated: "Diego López looks good to me, like he always does, he's training well. There have been no changes. I haven't spoken with the club. Diego is a Real Madrid player. He isn't playing tomorrow because I want to give Iker some playing time as he's going to start the Super Cup, but I'm still counting on Diego. We had a lot of problems last season when we talked about Iker and Diego. I'm not going to comment on Keylor Navas because he isn't a Real Madrid player".
The Italian is hopeful CR7 will feature in Cardiff: "Ronaldo is doing individual exercises. We're not going to play him tomorrow because he hasn't trained with the team yet and we don't want to take any risks. He'll start working with the team back in Madrid in order to get ready for the Super Cup. I'm banking on having him available".
Ancelotti is also expecting to welcome back Ángel di María. "There's no news on Di María: he'll report back on 5th August, as agreed before the World Cup".
