Juan Cuadrado could be on his way to Manchester United after the Premier League club reportedly tabled a bid of £27.5million for the Fiorentina winger.
Barcelona are also interested in the Colombia international, but Spanish news outlet Sport claim that United are in pole position following their formal bid for the player.
Cuadrado impressed many with his performances at the World Cup and is seen by Barcelona as the ideal replacement for Dani Alves.
Now 31, Barcelona are expected to cash in on Alves, despite the right-back stating that he would like to stay at the club.
The arrival of Cuadrado at Old Trafford could spell the end of Nani's career with United.
Despite signing a five-year contract extension last September, United are willing to offload the Portugal international, with AC Milan among the potential suitors.
