Vicente del Bosque sent out a message that "everything is normal" following Spain's 5-1 defeat by Holland, adding that 'La Roja' have "an opportunity ahead of them" to stay in the World Cup.

Says he doesn't want to rush into taking decisions - Del Bosque: no changes for change's sake

"I think that normality is the best thing. Normality when we win, taking our victories calmly, and accepting defeat with patience and moderation, taking on board what we have done wrong", the Spanish manager said at an unofficial press conference.

"We took an awful lot of harsh punishment, but I am not keen on putting salt on the players' wounds; they are well aware of what happened", Del Bosque said, going on to reveal that when he got back to his hotel he "fell asleep watching the Australia game and the TV was on all night".

Del Bosque is looking for a response in this coming Wednesday's match against Chile. "There might be one or two changes, but this is not the right moment to talk about them. We don't want to rush into things and make the wrong decisions. In any case, if there were any changes it wouldn't be to single anyone out", he said.

About their next opponents he said "Chile are a side who put on suicidal pressure, but they are very dangerous. We have our ideas".

And defending Iker Casillas, one of the players who has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism for the defeat, he said "when I got to the dressing room he was blaming himself for a lot of things, but we are all to blame. He behaved like a proper captain. He gave a positive and useful talk to the players".s
