The 21-year-old Real Madrid defender, who Jose Mourinho described as the best centre-back in the world, has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer
Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane insists he is not considering a move to Chelsea.
The 21-year-old played under Jose Mourinho at Madrid and has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer with David Luiz set to complete a £40 million move to Paris Saint-Germain.
But Varane claims he is only focused on France's World Cup campaign, with any decsion on his future being delayed until after the conclusion of the tournament.
"An interest in Chelsea?" Varane told Telefoot.
"At this time, I am not thinking about any of that. There is a World Cup to prepare for, this is not the time to discuss these types of questions."
In March, Mourinho had claimed that Varane was the best centre-back in the world.
"I think Varane is the best central defender in the world," the Chelsea boss said.
"He is still young, but I think he's the best. Already, yes. I think he's the best defender."
