Genoa vs AS Roma preview - Garcia keen to build for new season

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has stressed the importance of ending the campaign with a win ahead of his side's final game at Genoa on Sunday
The Giallorossi, who will finish runners-up in Serie A, are eager to bounce back from last weekend's 1-0 defeat to leaders Juventus.
That loss in Rome was their first at home this season and left the Giallorossi 14 points behind the newly-crowned champions with one game left in the current campaign.
"It's a pity that we lost against Juve," Garcia said. "But that defeat doesn't overshadow what has been a fantastic campaign for us.
"We hope to have a starring role next season and hopefully win a trophy.
"We now travel to Genoa determined to end the season on a high note."
Garcia received good news ahead of the encounter at the Luigi Ferraris stadium, with Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic having this week extended his contract with Roma until June 2018.
"Pjanic is an important player for us and we are delighted he will be with us in the future," Garcia said.
"We need to keep our talents and we will work on trying to strengthen our squad this summer."
Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes his side owe their fans a final-day victory.
The Grifoni have clinched just one win in their last 11 league games, with last weekend's 4-2 defeat at Sassuolo leaving them in 14th place.
Genoa have not won since March 26 and Gasperini understands the fans' disappointment.
"We want to end the season well for the sake of our fans and the club," Gasperini said.
"We've had a good season but we are clearly disappointed with our recent results. I expect a good performance from my players against Roma."
The hosts will be without top scorer Alberto Gilardino, who is serving a one-match ban.
Genoa defender Luca Antonelli is also suspended.
