Rayo Vallecano vs Getafe preview - Getafe expecting tough Rayo clash

Getafe coach Cosmin Contra is not expecting any favours from Rayo Vallecano this weekend as his side head to Vallecas in search of the point that will see them avoid relegation.
The 1-0 win over Sevilla last week lifted Getafe three points above the drop zone and as long as they avoid defeat on Sunday, they can look forward to an 11th successive season in the top flight.
However, even though Rayo have already guaranteed their top flight status and have only 11th place to play for, Contra refuses to believe his side's neighbours will make things easy for them.
"Rayo are a team that play very nice football and when they are at home they always go out to win, so they are going to go for the win like professionals," said Contra in a press conference.
"They are going to try and win the game, but we have more to play for and we'll have to bring the intensity and be aware of Rayo's virtues and defects. We have to try and make as few errors as possible."
The win over Sevilla was the pinnacle of a positive run of form for the Madrid side, who have picked up eight points from their last four matches.
"It's given us the possibility of having our destiny in our own hands," said Contra of his team's change in fortunes.
"The lads have done a phenomenal job, but we still haven't achieved anything. We've got 90 very difficult minutes left."
Contra also explained that Pedro Leon, who was named as a substitute for the Sevilla game, coming on with half an hour remaining, could return to the starting line-up on Sunday.
"Pedro was suspended for the Barcelona game (which ended in a 2-2 draw) and the team worked very well so I had to keep playing the players who were performing well," said the Romanian.
"He played how I wanted him to play the other day when he came on, he's trained very well this week and he could play."
One player who will definitely miss the game is the suspended defender Sergio Escudero, the scorer of the only goal against Sevilla.
Rayo meanwhile are likely to be without Saul Niguez, who underwent an operation for kidney stones during the week, while Anaitz Arbilla is suspended following a red card in the 4-0 defeat at Villarreal.
Alejandro Galvez, who has announced he will join Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in the summer, is set to play his final game for Rayo.
The defender is one of a total of 20 players whose contract with the cash-strapped club comes to an end next month.
