Eto'o set to appear in fourth World Cup

Samuel Eto'o is in line to play in his fourth World Cup finals after being named in Cameroon's provisional 28-man squad for this summer's tournament in Brazil.

Cameroon coach Volker Finke unveiled his preliminary party, which will be trimmed by five ahead of the finals, for the Indomitable Lions' seventh World Cup finals.

Eto'o, who has 116 international caps and 55 goals, is the leading name.

The 33-year-old made his tournament debut in the 1998, despite his club future being uncertain as his Chelsea contract expires imminently.

Cameroon, who are in Group A alongside hosts Brazil, Croatia and Mexico, also named Barcelona midfielder Alex Song in the squad.

Just two members of the squad play in Cameroon's domestic league, goalkeeper Loic Feudjou and defender Cedric Djeugoue.
