AS Roma vs Juventus preview - Ton target for Juventus

Serie A champions Juventus have a century in sight as they prepare to tackle Roma.

Juventus marked their third straight scudetto with a 1-0 victory over Atalanta on Monday.

The victory, courtesy of Simone Padoin's goal, left the newly-crowned league winners needing four points from their last two games to reach an historic 100-point mark.

Juventus take on Roma on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico before ending the campaign at home to Cagliari on May 18.

"The scudetto was one of our aims at the start of the season," Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini said. "It was difficult to win the league title again having done so in the previous two campaigns but we achieved our objective.

"It gives us great satisfaction to have won the title and to still be on course to achieve something historic.

"We have two more games left to play and we will try to get two wins in order to surpass the 100-point mark."

Chiellini admitted his team's 3-0 triumph at Roma earlier this year proved a turning point in the scudetto race.

"The victory over Roma was crucial," the Italy international said. "They were five points behind us and they had yet to lose.

"They came to Turin convinced they could beat us but instead we took an emphatic win."

Rivals Roma head into the contest looking to make amends for Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Catania that handed the title to Juventus.

The outcome in Sicily halted Roma's nine-match winning run.

"I didn't expect my team to lose in Catania and in that manner," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "We did everything wrong."

The Giallorossi, who will finish runners-up, will like nothing more than to end the season unbeaten at home and in the process stop Juventus from reaching the century mark.

"We want to end the season in a beautiful way," Roma captain Francesco Totti said. "We have an opportunity to make amends for our terrible display in Catania and we will try to make a great performance and prove that Serie A is not only about Juve."

Roma welcome back the team's top scorer Mattia Destro, who returns to play after serving a four-match ban.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte will have all of his players available, with the exception of Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal who underwent knee surgery this week.
