Hamilton FC 10 : 2 Greenock Morton - Accies hit double figures

Mickael Antoine-Curier fired four goals and Anthony Andreu a first-half hat-trick as Hamilton's heroic bid to overhaul Dundee and snatch the Scottish Championship title ended in failure despite a 10-2 home win against Morton.

Frenchman Andreu struck Hamilton's second and third goals after Antoine-Curier had given them an early lead and although Dougie Imre pulled one back for bottom club Morton, Louis Longridge made it 4-1 to Academicals in the 35th minute.

Andreu converted his third goal from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time after Morton striker Rowan Vine had handled and following Kevin Cuthbert's save from Vine's poor penalty - the Hamilton goalkeeper had fouled Imrie in the box - Antoine-Curier grabbed his second to put the home side 6-1 in front.

Antoine-Curier struck two more in the second half and further efforts from Michael Devlin and Stuart Findlay's own goal took Hamilton into double figures, but Dundee's 2-1 home win against Dumbarton was enough to clinch them the title.
