Dunfermline vs Rangers preview - Pars set to make wholesale changes

Dunfermline manager Jim Jefferies plans to field a completely different starting XI against champions Rangers.

None of the players that started against Arbroath last weekend will be in the team on Saturday as Jefferies looks to protect his star men ahead of the forthcoming play-off campaign.

Ross Forbes is suspended while Ryan Wallace (groin), Lawrence Shankland (groin) and Jordan Moore (skin cancer) remain absent.

Jeffries explained: "Rangers have won the league and we are comfortable in second place so it is the right time to experiment - and also reduce the risk of players missing (the play-offs) due to injury or suspension."

Rangers forward Andy Little is set for a comeback from a thigh injury.

Little built up his fitness with under-20s games last week and could feature at East End Park.

However, the Light Blues will still be without Lee Wallace (hip flexor), David Templeton (groin) and Lewis Macleod (illness).
