Torino vs Udinese preview - Torino chasing top-five finish

Torino will be desperate to make amends for last week's 3-3 draw at Lazio with a win over Udinese on Sunday to help them remain in the race for a Europa League berth.

The Granata are eighth in the standings and find themselves five points behind Inter Milan, who hold the last European qualifying spot, with four games remaining.

Toro coach Giampiero Ventura insists that whatever happens they should be proud of a terrific season, although he acknowledged they are still smarting from the result in Rome.

"It's painful to give away two points in the last seconds of the game," Ventura said. "We should not have allowed Lazio's last-gasp equaliser.

"There are so many regrets because we played well, dominated the encounter and deserved the victory.

"Now we must use that anger to take three points against Udinese in order to remain in the face for European football.

"There are still 12 points up for grabs and, like everyone else, we believe it's possible even though it will be no easy task."

Udinese have nothing to play for except pride heading into this weekend's match in Turin.

The Friuli outfit were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Napoli in the last round to drop to 13th in the standings.

Udinese have won just one of their last five encounters and have taken 39 points from 33 games.

Coach Francesco Guidolin has demanded a strong finish to the campaign from his players.

"We need to end the season in the best possible way," he said. "We only defended our Serie A status with seven games to go and we have lacked the right motivation that we had in our last three seasons.

"But we owe it to ourselves and to our fans to give our all in our last four games."

With Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale doubtful for the encounter with a right knee injury, Luis Muriel is expected to lead the attack against Toro.
