Queen of South 2 : 0 Livingston - Queens sink Livi
Posted Sunday, April 27, 2014 by PA
Queen of the South all but secured a place in the play-offs with a 2-0 victory over Livingston.
Goals from Ian McShane and Iain Russell secured a comfortable victory which leaves Queens three points ahead of Dumbarton and with a much better goal difference with one game left.
Mark Durnan's early header was cleared off the line by Callum Fordyce as the hosts took charge from the off against a side without a win in their last four games.
And they took the lead in the 25th minute when Keaghan Jacobs was robbed of the ball in his own half by Ian McShane, who went through on goal and slotted under Darren Jamieson.
Former Livingston player Russell slotted in a second nine minutes into the second period after being given too much time and space to pick his spot beyond Jamieson.
