Forfar vs Ayr preview - Disciplinary problems for Forfar

Forfar will be without three key players when they look to keep their slim play-off hopes alive by defeating Ayr.

Gavin Swankie, Gary Fusco and Stuart Malcolm will all miss out through suspension, with veteran defender Marvin Andrews in line for a recall.

Ahead of the game, Station Park manager Dick Campbell said: "I will be putting out a team I believe will show the desire to get us back into the play-off chase.

"Too many players accepted for second best against Arbroath last week and that is one the reasons that we lost. The team I pick for this game will be the ones who will fight best to keep our thin chance of making the play-offs going by beating Ayr."

Kyle McAusland comes back into the reckoning for Ayr.

The on-loan Rangers youngster was ineligible against his parent club on Tuesday night .

United player/manager Mark Roberts is keen that his side build on that display at Ibrox, he said: "We played well against Rangers and deserved more than we got. However, if we can hit that performance level again I am sure we will get something from this game.

"It would be terrific to get the win and end Forfar's challenge for the play-offs. However, they will come out all guns blazing looking to take things to the last day so we have to be prepared to battle."
