Stenhousemuir vs Airdrie preview - Double blow for Warriors

Stenhousemuir will be without Robbie Duncan and Eddie Malone when they host Airdrie.

Duncan is suspended after he was sent off against Rangers last weekend while Malone is nursing an ankle injury.

"Our aim has to be to defeat Airdrie and put the pressure on Stranraer and Ayr United above us," said Warriors boss Scott Booth, whose side are chasing a play-off place.

"Twists and turns happen at this stage of the season and it would be great to generate one by winning this game.

"It will not be easy as Airdrie have done well recently, however we have had a decent run too. We have drawn too many games but a win would put us right in the mix."

Airdrie, who secured their League One status last weekend, will be without suspended defender Paddy Doyle while knee injuries keep Grant Drummond and John Boyle out.

Diamonds boss Gary Bollan is determined that his side's progress will not slow down despite their safety from relegation.

He said: "It was great to defeat East Fife and avoid relegation but if there are higher places in the table available then I want us to climb into them.

"Stenhousemuir need a win for their play-off purposes, however we have worked hard to create a winning mentality and we do not want to turn that off just because we are safe."
