Rangers vs Stranraer preview - Little in line for big comeback

Rangers forward Andy Little could end his six-week lay-off by returning to action against Stranraer on Saturday.

The Northern Irishman injured his thigh as the Ibrox men clinched the League One title against Airdrie back in mid-March but could feature as Ally McCoist's side prepare to parade their third-tier trophy after the home clash with Steven Aitken's side after featuring in an Under-20s match this week.

However, McCoist will still be without Lee Wallace (hip flexor), David Templeton (groin) and Lewis Macleod (illness).

Stranraer midfielder Steven Bell will miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle injury. He joins Chris Aitken (ankle) and Marc Corcoran (hip) on the sidelines.

The Blues have still not secured a play-off place despite being in the top four since November and manager Stephen Aitken is hoping that they finally get over the finishing line by being the first side to beat Rangers in League One.

"No-one is expecting us to do anything so we can go play without any pressure. We are one win away from the play-offs and winning this game would be a terrific way to finally secure it," said Aitken.
