Almeria 2 : 4 Celta Vigo - Worries increase for Almeria

Almeria's relegation fears deepened as they slumped to a 4-2 home defeat to Celta Vigo on Sunday.

The visitors struck three times in the second half through Charles, Nolito, his second of the match, and Fabian Orellana to take the game away from their opponents.

Rodri had cancelled out Nolito's opener to send Almeria in level at the break, but they were overwhelmed thereafter, with Oscar Diaz's strike coming too late to influence the outcome.

Second-bottom Almeria went into the match on the back of three straight losses, but almost got off to an ideal start as Rodri's right-footed shot came back off a post.

Instead they were behind in the 20th minute as Nolito finished low into the bottom right corner from the centre of the area.

The hosts had goalkeeper Esteban to thank for preventing mid-table Celta from going further ahead, twice pushing away efforts from Alex Lopez.

And they equalised four minutes before the break as Marcos Tebar's ball in from the right was tucked away by Rodri.

Home joy was extinguished seven minutes into the second half as Celta took control.

Nolito set up Charles to fire them back into the lead, shooting high into the net from well inside the area.

Nolito got his second in the 71st minute with another cool low finish and Orellana made it four five minutes later, also scoring with a low shot from close range.

Almeria were dead and buried, but they at least managed to get one more goal back as Diaz fired a fine strike into the top corner.
