Despite all the rumours that have him playing for other clubs next season, Diego López is firm in his decision to sit tight at Real Madrid. He is delighted with his status as starting league goalkeeper with Ancelotti, and has no plans to throw it all away at the end of the season.
"I have said it many times: I have three years left on my contract and unless they kick me out –just joking, by the way , I'm staying", the keeper quipped, at the first showing of the new Spiderman film, accompanied by his teammate Alvaro Arbeloa.
The Spanish goalkeeper, who returned to Real half way through last season as an emergency signing following Casillas' injury at Mestalla, impressed Mourinho so much that he stayed on as the starter even when Casillas was fully recovered. With the arrival of Ancelotti, he kept this status for league games, whilst Iker has been the man between the sticks for Cup and Champions league games. Diego López is glad how things have turned out: "I'm very happy here and will continue fighting for everything.
