Torino vs Genoa preview - Centurion calls for discipline

Genoa midfielder Ricardo Centurion has urged his team-mates to give their all in Sunday's game at Torino as they look to halt their slide down the Serie A table.

The Grifoni have endured a disappointing spell of late, with last weekend's 2-1 defeat at home to AC Milan following their 3-0 loss at Hellas Verona seeing them drop to 13th place.

Genoa have won just one of their last six games and are winless on the road since February 9.

"We must be confident and focused against Torino," Centurion said. "We have to try and limit our mistakes, otherwise we will be punished.

"We are disappointed that we weren't rewarded for our performance against AC Milan but there are still six games to go and we can do well."

Genoa held Torino to a 1-1 draw earlier this season and Centurion expects another balanced encounter at Turin's Olympic stadium this weekend.

"It's going to be a complicated game," he said. "Torino have very good players like (Ciro) Immobile and (Alessio) Cerci and they can make a difference."

Immobile struck the winner in last weekend's 2-1 triumph at Catania to join Juventus forward Carlos Tevez as the top of the Serie A scoring charts with 18 goals apiece.

The victory in Sicily halted a three-match losing streak on the road for Torino and lifted the Granata to 10th place, level on 45 points with AC Milan.

Toro are without the services of suspended defender Matteo Darmian and injured midfielder Alex Farnerud.

Farnerud ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in training this week and will be sidelined for six months.

Genoa, coached by Gian Piero Gasperini, will be hoping Alberto Gilardino can rediscover his goalscoring touch in Turin.

The Italian striker, who will partner Luca Antonelli in attack, has mustered just one goal in the last five games.
