Brechin City vs Airdrie United preview - Jackson set to boost Brechin

Brechin striker Andy Jackson is expected to feature against Airdrie at Glebe Park despite having a plaster fitted to his arm after a recent thumb injury.

Alan Trouten is missing through suspension although Jonny Brown is available after a knock.

Ewan Moyes, Garry Kenneth, Stephen Robb and Derek Carcary, all less than fully fit, look set to target places on the bench.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "We picked up a deserved win over Ayr United last weekend. That was very pleasing as we kept up the good form we had shown in the games against Rangers and Dunfermline where we were unlucky to lose."

In-form Airdrie make the trip with an unchanged squad.

Knee injuries keep out Grant Drummond and John Boyle while a groin problem sees Chris O'Neil remain absent.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "We are on a good run of form and we also have the incentive of moving above Brechin in the table. They have a good squad of players and even though injuries have hurt them this season it will not be easy to get a win there."

"There is a lot at stake in this game as both sides would like to end relegation issues of any kind as soon as possible."
