Airdrie sink Parks

Airdrie opened up a three-point gap between themselves and the relegation play-off spot with a 2-0 win at home to high-flying Dunfermline.

The visitors began the game brightly, Faissal El Bakhtaoui's effort just sailing past Airdrie goalkeeper Grant Adam's left-hand post.

It was Airdrie, however, who took the lead when Keigan Parker expertly curled home a free-kick from 20 yards after Caolan McAleer was fouled by Callum Morris.

In the second half Ross Forbes' spectacular 35-yard dipping shot was tipped over by Adam before the Airdrie keeper was called into action once again, this time holding on to a Ross Millen header.

Airdrie though, wrapped up the game in stoppage time when James Lister finished inside the penalty area.
