Stenhousemuir 2 : 2 Arbroath - Stenny battle back

Stenhousemuir had to come from behind twice to salvage a 2-2 draw at home to Arbroath.

Both sides could have had penalties, but instead had to settle for a point apiece after a Sean Higgins headed goal five minutes from time pulled the home team level.

Arbroath, bottom of the table and on a run of three consecutive losses, went ahead after half-an-hour when Paul McManus curled the ball home into the bottom corner from inside the area.

Stenhousemuir had already been forced into two substitutions but were level 10 minutes later when Ben Greenhalgh finished smartly into the bottom right corner.

The visitors again went ahead in the second half as Robert Lynn tucked away an Alan Cook pass.

Higgins' late equaliser secured a point but Scott Morrison saved The Lichties in stoppage time as he saved a brilliant curling effort from Ross McNeil that would have given the home team an important win in the push for promotion.
