Rayo Vallecano vs Celta Vigo preview - Bermejo bidding for Vigo victory

Celta Vigo midfielder Mario Bermejo insists his team will go all out for the three points at Rayo Vallecano this weekend, even though the Galicians have a decent advantage over the relegation zone.

Luis Enrique's side have won two of their last four matches to move six points away from the bottom three and up to 11th in the Primera Division.

However, Bermejo, who was involved in Celta's dramatic last-gasp escape from relegation on the final day of last season, is refusing to say the job is done just yet.

He told reporters: "Here, making calculations is not good enough. We have to go to Vallecas to win so that we don't need to worry about other results.

"We know what we are playing for and we are not going to be complacent. We are not foolish enough to relax now because we have the experience of last season."

Even if they do beat Rayo, Bermejo has warned they will still have work to do to ensure they remain in mid-table.

"Every game we win now is a huge step towards survival, but getting the three points in Vallecas won't be definitive," he said.

"We have to be ambitious and try and win every game."

Celta beat Sevilla 1-0 last weekend to bring Unai Emery's side's six-game winning streak to an end, and face a Rayo team crushed 5-0 at Real Madrid last time out, a result which ended a five-game unbeaten run.

However, Rayo winger Iago Falque stresses his team will not be affected by the thrashing they received at the Bernabeu when they host Celta.

"The Real Madrid game hasn't affected our morale," he told the club's official website.

"We have to be realistic, we know what our level is and that of Real Madrid. We wanted to get to that game in a good position and with a few points because we know that getting points there was almost impossible."

And the Tottenham loanee believes his side have every chance of compensating for the defeat with a win over Celta, which would see them move ahead of the Galicians in the league table due to their superior head-to-head record.

"The best thing for Rayo is to go out from the first minute to cause harm, with the fans on our side," said Falque.

"I think if we begin by doing that, we'll have a very good chance of getting the three points, regardless of how our opponents approach the game."

Celta have no injuries or suspensions for the game, while Rayo have no fresh absentees following the defeat to Madrid.
