Greenock Morton vs Dumbarton preview - Vine boost for Morton

Morton have Rowan Vine back from suspension as they look to delay relegation by defeating Dumbarton at Cappielow.

Injuries continue to rule out Ben Sampayo (knee), David O'Brien (hamstring) and Reece Hands (hip) with manager Kenny Shiels determined that his side put up some stiff resistance.

Shiels said: "We know what we face in terms of where we will be playing football next season but we can start preparing for it positively now. We can start getting ourselves ready for new challenges now by putting in strong displays to end our season.

"If we can cut out defensive mistakes we can do something against Dumbarton."

Dumbarton look set to be without Scott Linton (hamstring) as they look to move to within three points of Queen of the South who occupy fourth place in the Championship table.

Hugh Murray is available after a ban as the Sons look to start where they finished against Livingston at the weekend.

Manager Ian Murray said: "We were 1-0 down at the interval but turned things around in the second half. Two late goals won us the game and that takes us very positively into our trip to Morton.

"We cannot think about the implications of us winning at Morton, we have to look after ourselves."
