Forfar Athletic 1 : 2 East Fife - Austin revs up East Fife
Posted Sunday, March 30, 2014 by PA
Nathan Austin's winner on the stroke of half-time gave East Fife a 2-1 victory at Forfar to maintain their survival hopes.
Forfar's Martyn Fotheringham went close to breaking the deadlock early on but Jack Hamilton did well to thwart him, while at the other end Liam Buchanan's effort was parried by Darren Hill.
The home side went in front after 32 minutes when Fotheringham's cross found Chris Duggan who headed home from close range, but the lead lasted just three minutes as Buchanan lashed in from close range.
And they turned it around in first-half injury time when Kevin Smith's cross was met by Austin who stroked home his third of the season.
Buchanan hit the bar late on as East Fife recorded their second straight victory.
