Livingston 2 : 0 Alloa Athletic - Livi seal quick double over Alloa

Posted Wednesday, March 26, 2014 by PA

A goal in each half helped Livingston comfortably beat Alloa for the second time in just over a month as they prevailed 2-0.

Livingston, 3-0 winners when they last met on February 15, could have been 1-0 down in the 12th minute when Danny Denholm fouled Alloa's Ben Gordon to concede a spot-kick but Ryan McCord's effort was parried by Darren Jamieson.

Just nine minutes later Livingston's Mark McNulty showed him how it is done, tucking home his penalty into the bottom right-hand corner.

Martin Scott carved out a fine chance as they game headed into the final minutes but lacked composure when it mattered.

But the points were eventually sealed with four minutes to go when a bit of luck on the edge of the box allowed Keaghan Jacobs to fire home.
