Livingston vs Alloa Athletic preview - Mensing worry for Livi

Livingston captain Simon Mensing looks set to miss out against Alloa.

The midfielder was set to return from suspension, but picked up a knock in training and is now doubtful.

Andrew Barrowman (hamstring) and Ross Docherty (groin) are definitely out, with Jason Talbot struggling due to a knee injury.

The Lions' 4-2 win at Raith on Saturday has restarted talk of a play-off push, with manager John McGlynn saying: "Queen of the South are in the driving seat but we are still in there with a chance.

"It was good to play as well as we did at Raith and a repeat of that performance would be terrific."

Alloa striker Andy Kirk suffered a cut head in Saturday's 3-0 win over Falkirk, however manager Barry Smith reckons that he will be good to go.

However, the Wasps will miss Jason Marr (thigh), James Creaney (ankle), Graeme Holmes (back) and Derek Riordan (ankle) as they look for the win that will take them above their hosts.

Smith said: "You could see the belief and confidence in the players growing in the win against Falkirk. We need to build on that at Livingston.

"A win would take us above Livingston and if we finished the season higher than them we will be in a decent place."
