Hamilton FC vs Raith Rovers preview - Neil missing for Accies

Hamilton player-manager Alex Neil will be the only absentee when his title-chasing side entertain Raith Rovers.

Neil remains out following groin surgery earlier this year with the New Douglas Park manager instructing his players to keep attacking sides as opposed to cautiously going for three points.

"We are in the race for a title and winning games by scoring goals is the best way to stay in it," said Neil. "We have won the last five games so the approach is working.

"However I do want us to defend better than we did when we beat Morton 4-3 on Saturday."

Raith Rovers again miss goalkeeper David McGurn (Achilles) and Paul Watson (foot) with Kevin Moon a major doubt as they look to get their play-off campaign back on track after Saturday's 4-2 defeat against Livingston.

Manager Grant Murray said: "We looked to have turned the corner by defeating Morton and then putting in a solid performance in the goalless draw at Dundee last week. However Saturday was disappointing as we lost bad goals through a lack of concentration.

"We played well at Hamilton earlier this season and if we take belief from that and the standards we showed at Dens Park then we can get something from this one."
