Falkirk vs Dumbarton preview - Roberts banned for Bairns

Falkirk will be without Phil Roberts when they host Dumbarton after the striker's sending off against Alloa on Saturday.

Rory Loy is struggling with a knock and Thomas Grant misses out through illness as the Bairns look to bounce back from their 3-0 Recreation Park defeat that saw them slip nine points behind leaders Dundee.

Manager Gary Holt said: "It was a disappointing day and we have to show character to bounce back. The title is out of our hands so all we can do is win and see where we end up.

"Dumbarton have given us problems so beating them would be a great way to get going again."

Dumbarton have a full squad as they travel looking for their fourth win in a row at the home of the Bairns.

Manager Ian Murray may freshen things up as the Sons look to move closer to a top four place.

He said: "The players gave a lot on Saturday and where very unlucky to lose to Dundee. We are in the fortunate position that we have players waiting to come in so we will have a strong side out.

"We have a good record at Falkirk and it would be great to add another win to it, however Falkirk will be looking to hit back."
