Stranraer vs Stenhousemuir preview - Bell blow for Stranraer

Stranraer will be without Stephen Bell against Stenhousemuir.

Bell suffered a hip injury in the 1-0 defeat to Forfar last weekend and joins Chris Aitken (ankle) and Marc Corcoran (hip) on the sidelines.

Third-placed Stranraer will look to end a run of three defeats on Saturday, with manager Stephen Aitken saying: "We have had our first training sessions this week in over a month as we had been playing twice a week.

"We will be better as a result so we are aiming to put the recent games behind us and get back on course in terms of aiming for the play-offs."

Stenhousemuir welcome back Sean Higgins to give recently-appointed manager Scott Booth a fully squad to choose from as he looks to build on the 4-2 win over Brechin that took the Warriors back into the play-off chase.

Booth said: "I was delighted with the tempo of our game last week and was really pleased with how we attacked Brechin. We will need that same approach against a Stranraer side who have had a bit of a blip recently.

"They have good players and have had a terrific season but if their blip carries on for another week that is fine by me."
