Morton vs Hamilton preview - Morton wait on Cole

Morton hope that defender Darren Cole will shake off a groin injury as they look to keep their thin survival hopes alive by seeing off promotion-seeking Hamilton at Cappielow.

Fouad Bachirou returns after suspension and both Barrie McKay and Dougie Imrie have been passed fit. However, Ben Sampayo (knee) and Reece Hands (groin) continue to be absent.

Manager Kenny Shiels said: "We were set for a win at Raith Rovers last week until what I saw as a soft penalty decision went against us. We are not far away from winning but we could do with a slice of good luck.

"Hopefully we can get that against Hamilton."

Second-placed Hamilton include defender Lee Kilday after he recovered from an ankle injury that had kept him out for over a month.

Player-manager Alex Neil is the only absentee due to a groin injury as the Accies look to take advantage of any stumble by leaders Dundee.

Neil said: "Morton are still in there battling so we will have to play well to win. The last time we were at Cappielow they gave us a really tough time of things in a game that ended 1-1.

"This game will be no different but hopefully we can get the three points we need as we chase the Championship."
