McAleer misses out for Airdrie

Airdrie will continue their battle to pull clear of relegation trouble against Forfar without winger Coalan McAleer.

McAleer, on loan from Partick, is suspended following his red card in the 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Arbroath last weekend while Grant Drummond (knee), Chris O'Neill (groin) and John Boyle (knee) all remain out.

Manager Gary Bollan has called for more of the same from his team.

He said: "We have to continue in the same determined fashion if we are to complete our recovery. We are on a good run but every game is difficult, especially one against a Forfar side who have got themselves back into the promotion hunt."

Chris Duggan could make his debut for Forfar.

Duggan has signed on loan from Partick for the remainder of the season and the striker might make his bow as Ross Campbell has a hamstring injury and Gavin Swankie is out with a calf problem.

The Loons manager Dick Campbell said: "Things are back in our hands regarding the play-offs and that has actually made us all the more determined. We will need that determination as Airdrie have lost one game in nine and that was against Rangers, so they are in good form.

"We have the chance now to make something of our season and winning at Airdrie makes that chance bigger."
