Fiorentina vs Chievo preview - Gomez getting back on track

Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez admitted his confidence is coming back as his side prepares for the Serie A match against Chievo.
Gomez scored the equaliser against Juventus in Thursday's Europa League round of 16 first leg 1-1 draw to give the Viola a narrow advantage ahead of the return match in Florence.
Germany international Gomez had failed to score since his double against Genoa in September, with a knee ligament injury ruling him out for five months just a fortnight later.
Fiorentina currently lie fourth in the overall league standings, 10 points adrift of Napoli in third, and Gomez admitted that the goal served as a big confidence boost for him for the rest of the season.
"I'm happy for the goal, but also to be healed," the 28-year-old said on his official Facebook page.
"It's not easy to get back into shape after five months but the condition is slowly coming back, not only for the goal."
Fiorentina are winless in their last five games in all competitions.
Chievo, meanwhile, will be looking to continue their winning ways after they claimed a 2-1 win over mid-table Genoa last Sunday.
The Verona-based side are currently 16th in the league standings, three points clear of Livorno in the relegation zone, but have won two of their last three games.
Defender Boukary Drame (back), midfielder Roberto Guana (pulled muscle) and Cyril Thereau (bruised right foot) all trained away from the main squad and are doubts for Sunday's game.
