Stranraer vs Forfar preview - McKeown missing for Stranraer
Posted Monday, March 10, 2014 by PA
Stranraer entertain Forfar without the suspended Frank McKeown after he was dismissed as they went down 5-0 to Ayr United on Saturday.
Stephen Stirling is a major doubt after suffering a knock at the weekend and he could join Chris Aitken (ankle) and Marc Corcoran (groin) in missing out.
Grant Gallagher is available after illness and Stephen Bell should return following injury with manager Stephen Aitken refusing to criticise his players for their weekend showing.
Aitken said: "The players have been terrific all season so I'm not going to slaughter them for one bad performance. We can quickly make amends and that is what I am concentrating on."
Odmar Faero is the only absentee for the Loons after he sustained a knee injury on international duty last week with the Faroe Islands.
Station Park manager Dick Campbell is looking for his side to bounce back from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brechin at the weekend.
Campbell said: "We were great against Ayr last midweek and then very flat against Brechin. We have to get to a high level of performance and stay there as inconsistency is hurting our play-off chances.
"I will need to decide whether to freshen things up or give the same players the chance to show me that they can recover from it."
