Manchester United star Darren Fletcher wants to become a manager after he retires

MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Darren Fletcher intends to go into management when he hangs up his boots.

Fletcher, 30, has just returned to action after battling ulcerative colitis for the past few years.

And during his time out of the first team he made a stab at securing his coaching badges.

The Scotland international said: “I have thought about becoming a manager - it does appeal to me.

"But whether I know what I’d know what I'm letting myself in for or not is a different thing altogether.

"I did a few of my coaching badges during my time out with the illness.

"Although it is not something I have decided on, it is something I think I would like to do."
