Queen of South 1 : 1 Hamilton FC - Hamilton miss golden opportunity

Hamilton missed the chance to leapfrog leaders Dundee as they were held to a 1-1 draw by fourth-placed Queen of South.

After a first half of few chances, Hamilton broke the deadlock in the 56th minute through Martin Canning, who headed in James Keatings' corner from close range.

However, their lead did not last long as Gavin Reilly levelled seven minutes later, the striker firing into the bottom corner.

Reilly had a great chance to claim the points for the hosts eight minutes from time but he saw his header smartly saved by Kevin Cuthbert.

The point takes Hamilton level with Dundee, who did not have a fixture on Saturday, at the top.
