Alston to the rescue

Substitute Blair Alston rescued a point for 10-man Falkirk in a 1-1 draw with Livingston.

The midfielder had only been on the field for 10 minutes when his low drive found the target for his third goal of the season eight minutes from time.

Marc McNulty had opened the scoring by heading home a great cross from Jason Talbot.

But moments after Alston levelled Falkirk were gifted the opportunity to win it when Simon Mensing fouled Craig Sibbald in the area.

Philip Roberts was sent off after the melee which followed before Mark Millar's penalty was saved by Darren Jamieson.
