Dunfermline vs Stenhousemuir preview - Pars braced for Booth's Warriors

Dunfermline will give Alex Whittle and Josh Falkingham fitness tests ahead of the visit of Stenhousemuir after the duo missed training earlier this week due to illness.

Jordan Moore remains sidelined following recent leg surgery and Ryan Wallace is missing due to an ankle injury, with manager Jim Jefferies telling his men to be ready for a tough contest.

Jefferies explained: "Stenhousemuir have a new manager and he will be hoping to guide them to the play-offs. They defeated Forfar and drew at Rangers so they are on a good run.

"We need to be ready to face a side who want to be involved in the business end of the season."

Stenhousemuir travel to East End Park with Scott Booth in charge for the first time and they are missing only frontman John Gemmell, who has a groin injury.

Assistant manager Brown Ferguson said: "Training has been really upbeat this week which is no surprise after a great 4-1 win over Forfar last Saturday and Scott's arrival.

"We were excellent in the game against Forfar and were clinical in our finishing, which of course has raised everyone's confidence. It will be tough to get the points at Dunfermline but if we play as we did last weekend we are in with a chance."
