David McKenna hit the target in Stranraer's 2-0 victory over Scottish League One strugglers East Fife.
The hosts came close to taking the lead in the 23rd minute when Scott Rumsby's effort clattered the bar.
The Blues finally opened the scoring after 36 minutes when McKenna headed home from close range.
The Fifers almost pulled themselves level in the 50th minute when Kevin Smith hit a post but instead it was Stranraer who went on to score next.
Stephen Aitken's side doubled their lead 11 minutes later thanks to Stephen Stirling's strike from the left side of the box.
