ANCELOTTI PRAISES THE WELSHMAN'S FITNESS AND ATTITUDE - "Bale is on his way to being in tip-top condition"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti talked to the press about the form of some of his most important players. He specifically heaped praise on Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Álvaro Arbeloa.

Bale: "He's returning to full physical and mental fitness, and you can see it on the pitch. He scored a wonder goal against Elche and played very well against Schalke. He has gained confidence and is linking up well with his teammates."

Benzema: "He's showing the same quality as always. He has an amazing eye for goal, but now he's more involved in the team's play and is so much more than just a striker. He's comfortable in possession and I hope that continues."

Arbeloa: "He's shown that he's in great condition, fully focused on his defensive responsibilities. He's put in a good performance whenever he's played. He's looking forward to the World Cup and if he keeps playing like this, he'll be on the plane to Brazil."
