East Fife vs Glasgow Rangers preview - Hughes set for Gers reunion
Posted Friday, February 28, 2014 by PA
East Fife have brought former Rangers and Scotland midfielder Stephen Hughes back to the club on loan after a short spell at Dundee and he has been added to the Bayview squad for the visit of Rangers.
Player-manager Gary Naysmith has ruled out Scott McBride (hip), Cyrus Moosavi (knee) and Ryan Stewart (knee) and he also has doubts over Stevie Campbell, Joe Mbu and Pat Clarke.
Naysmith said: "This is a really big week as we have all the focus that a Rangers game brings and then face Stranraer and Arbroath.
"There is no pressure to do anything in this one but we will have a go."
Defender Sebastien Faure will return to the Rangers squad.
The defender missed the midweek League One win over Stranraer after sustaining a knock against Stenhousemuir last week but will be back for the New Bayview clash.
Lewis MacLeod remains out with knee ligament damage but long-term absentees Chris Hegarty, Ross Perry (both ankle), Kyle Hutton (broken leg) and Nicky Clark (broken foot) are closing in on a return to action.
