Getafe vs Espanyol preview - Sanchez keen to open gap

Espanyol midfielder Victor Sanchez has stressed the importance of winning Saturday's Primera Division clash with Getafe at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
The Periquitos have the chance to move up three places to sit just outside European qualification if other results also go their way this weekend.
Javier Aguirre's side, who are currently 10th in the table, have won two of their last three league matches and Sanchez hopes they can add another three points which would give them a welcome boost and open up a gap to the teams below them.
He told a press conference: "This is an area that is not a good time for the club, but we've added points in recent games and are beginning to get stronger defensively.
"The match is very important because if we win we will open up a gap and move away from the teams that are below."
The 26-year-old was quick to brush aside talk of renewing his contract at the club, saying he is fully concentrating on the results at the moment.
He added, according to Espanyol's website: "Right now, the important thing is the team."
While Getafe sit four points above the relegation zone, they are in need of a good result this weekend with their last league win coming in November when they saw off Levante 1-0.
Luis Garcia's side managed to hold onto a 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo last time out despite playing the majority of the second half with 10 men after Lisandro Lopez was shown a second yellow card.
They are currently on the same points mark as both Elche and Almeria as they battle to move away from danger.
