Airdrie United vs Stenhousemuir preview - Barr in line for Diamonds debut

Airdrieonians, who are unbeaten in five games, will include new signing Craig Barr in their squad to face Stenhousemuir if they receive international clearance from Swedish outfit Ostersunds.

The Diamonds are again without Grant Evans (ankle), Grant Drummond (knee), Chris O'Neill (groin) and John Boyle (knee) as they look to drag the Warriors into the relegation dog-fight.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "The players have bought into the hard-working approach I wanted when I came in. It is getting them results at the moment and hopefully that will continue against a Stenhousemuir side that showed how dangerous they can be by drawing 3-3 at Rangers on Saturday."

Stenhousemuir, who will again be under the control of interim coach Brown Ferguson, are still without striker John Gemmell (groin), while Kris Faulds remains a doubt after a recent head knock.

New manager Scott Booth does not start work until next week and he will be hoping that his Warriors side can build on Saturday's result at Ibrox to secure their first win in nine games.

Ferguson said: "We have shown character and spirit in all of our league games recently and we will need to do so again to get anything from Airdrie.

"It will be a very different atmosphere to Saturday's game and we need to be able to do that."
