Brechin City 1 : 3 Stranraer - Grehan at the treble
Posted Sunday, February 23, 2014 by PA
A first-half hat trick from Martin Grehan gave Stranraer their first win in five matches as they beat Brechin 3-1 at Glebe Park.
Grehan scored his first in the 26th minute after Mark Docherty set him up for an open goal from six yards.
The second came from the penalty spot, after Paul McLean fouled Andrew Stirling in the area and picked up a yellow card.
Grehan completed his treble five minutes later in style, firing the ball into the top corner from just inside the area leaving Graeme Smith with little chance in the Brechin goal.
Andrew Jackson pulled one back on the hour when he slotted in Robert Thomson's pass.
