Greenock Morton vs Alloa Athletic preview - Three missing for Morton

Bottom-of-the-table Morton have three players missing for their must-win game with Alloa.

Goalkeeper Nicolas Caraux (ankle), Ben Sampayo (knee) and Reece Hands (pelvis) are all in the treatment room.

Archie Campbell is in line for a start after grabbing the equaliser against Cowdenbeath last weekend and then scoring a hat-trick for the reserves in midweek.

Manager Kenny Shiels said: "It would be great to get the three points and end a run of good performances that have only secured draws.

"If we do we are still 10 points behind Alloa with a lot of work still to be done but it would be a great start to clawing their advantage back."

Alloa, who have not won since beating the Greenock side in December, have a major injury doubt over their recent signing former Celtic, Hibs and Scotland striker Derek Riordan.

Jason Marr (thigh) and Willie Robertson (toe) both remain out.

Wasps manager Barry Smith said: "We have to start this game well. We never got going against Livingston last weekend until the second half and by that time we were a goal down.

"I am not looking at what a win would mean to us in terms of this season and opening up a bigger gap on Morton. I am only looking for us to get a win this one."
