Raith Rovers vs Hamilton FC preview - Donaldson boosts Raith

Raith defender Reece Donaldson is expected to feature against Hamilton.

Donaldson was carried off with a head injury during the Kirkcaldy side's win over Hibernian in the William Hill Scottish Cup last Saturday and is in contention to play after returning to training.

David McGurn (Achilles), Paul Watson (foot) and Calum Elliot (hamstring) are all out injured, but goalkeeper Lee Robinson is included after international clearance came through from his last club in Sweden.

Manager Grant Murray said: "Winning in the cup was terrific and it's now time to get back to winning ways in the Championship. Queen of the South are opening a gap in fourth place and we want to close it."

Hamilton have been hit by a hat-trick of suspensions as Michael Devlin, Ziggy Gordon and Stephen Hendrie all miss the trip.

Player/manager Alex Neil (groin) is the only absentee, and he said: "Raith had a terrific result last weekend in the Scottish Cup after a disappointing run in the league. To win we have to start the game properly.

"Last week at Dundee we only started playing when we had two players sent off. If the 11 starting players can play as well as those nine, we have a great chance."
