East Fife vs Dunfermline preview -Thom back for Fifers

East Fife have Gary Thom available for the derby against Dunfermline.

Thom has served his suspension and comes back into the reckoning along with Ross Brown, who is over his recent bout of illness.

However, player/manager Gary Naysmith is set to don his boots again as Stevie Campbell remains out with a foot problem. Nathan Austin (ankle) and Pat Clarke (shoulder) also both remain on the sidelines.

Naysmith is looking for his men to show the same spirit that they displayed against Forfar last weekend.

He said: "We came back from a goal down to win and we will need that same determined approach to win this game. Dunfermline have added experience but we have a good side and will look to win the game."

Dunfermline had a productive transfer deadline day in recruiting Danny Grainger from St Mirren and Ross Forbes from Partick Thistle and both players go into the squad at Bayview.

Andy Geggan is banned and Allan Smith is also out following illness but Callum Morris will return after a hamstring injury and Faissal El Bakhtaoui is available after a suspension.

Pars manager Jim Jefferies said: "I am delighted that the players have been willing to come from the Premiership to League One. That shows the potential this club has.

"Having their experience on board will help against an East Fife side that Gary Naysmith has re-shaped."
